REP-TAT-P-5176-02 Installing the trunk lid seal

• Remove the rest of the sealant from the sheet steel flange.
• Clean the sheet metal flange with cleaning agent R2.

Consumable 

• Replace the trunk lid seal (1).

  Parts:  Trunk lid seal

• Mount the tailgate seal (1) at the sealing joint (2).
• Ensure that the trunk lid seal (1) is correctly positioned on all adjacent trim panel components.

  Check 

• Check the closing function of the trunk lid.

Result 

» The trunk lid does not close.

Measure

• Ensure that the trunk lid seal (1) is correctly positioned on all adjacent trim panel components.
