Removing and installing/replacing window frame trim of the rear left or rear right door

Preliminary work needed:

Remove outer window CAVITY COVER STRIP .
Remove inner window CHANNEL STRIP .

IMPORTANT: The INSTRUCTIONS on installation of rubber window seals serve as the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

Removal:

Pull rubber window seal (1) out of the window guide.

Release rubber seal (1) from the door to the rear.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Thread out window frame trim (2).

Installation:

Thread in window frame trim (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 35 1AZ .

Rub lubricant on rubber window seal (1) and insert into the window guide.

Install rubber seal (2) from below on the door.

NOTE: Make sure rubber window seal (1) and rubber seal (2) are correctly seated.

Required follow-up work:

Install outer window CHANNEL STRIP .
Install inner window CHANNEL STRIP .
