Detaching and attaching/replacing window frame trim of rear door (front) on left and right

The INSTRUCTIONS  on installation of rubber window seals serve as the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

Preliminary work needed: 

• Open rear window
• Remove window CHANNEL STRIP  from rear door

Removal: 

Pull rubber window seal (1) out of window guide.

Pull rubber seal (2) off trim (3).

Unscrew the screws (1).

Feed out trim (2).

Installation: 

Feed in cover (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 35 1AZ .

Attach rubber seal (2) to trim (3).

Coat rubber window seal (1) with lubricant and guide into window guide.

Required follow-up work: 

• Close rear window
• Install window CHANNEL STRIP  onto rear door.
