Removing and installing (replacing) radio (Cooper)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 327

To avoid damage, do not tap or dirty the display area.

Removal: 

Unclip and remove the trim (1) with the special tool 00 9 327 toward the top.

Release expanding rivet (1) from left and right on central display (2).

Unlock locking mechanism (1) with screwdriver in arrow direction and at the same time pull central instrument towards passenger compartment.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove central instrument with radio (2).

Replacement: 

Loosen screws (1).

Remove radio (2) from central instrument (3).

Installation: 

Replacement: 

Position radio (2) correctly on central instrument (3).

Tighten down screws (1).

Join plug connections (1) to central instrument with radio (2) and lock.

Correctly position central instrument (2).

Press on central instrument (2) at top on dashboard and engage.

Fasten expanding rivet (1) from left and right on central display (2).

Engage cover (1) correctly in dashboard (2).
