Removing and installing/replacing left or right tail light (Cooper)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove either right TRIM PANEL for split door or left TRIM PANEL for split door.

Removal: 

Unscrew nuts (1).

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove tail light from outside.

Installation: 

Make sure gasket (1) is correctly positioned on tail light (2).

Install tail light from outside.

Connect plug connections (1).

Tighten down nuts (1).

Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install either right TRIM PANEL for split door or left TRIM PANEL for split door.
