Removing and installing/replacing a rear middle left ultrasonic transducer (Cooper)

WARNING: Risk of burning!

Work on the exhaust system may only be carried out when it has cooled down!

Removal:

Version with side exhaust tailpipe with heat shield:

Loosen screws (1).

Version with center exhaust tailpipe:

Unscrew the screws (1).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unlock latches at marked points.

Remove ultrasonic sensor (2) from holder.

Installation:

NOTE: Make sure rubber ring (1) is correctly seated on ultrasonic sensor (2).

NOTE: Before installation of ultrasonic sensor (2) on wiring harness, clean plug connection!

Safety catches (1) of ultrasonic transducer (2) must engage exactly in mountings (3).

Engage ultrasonic sensor (2) in holder.

Join and lock plug connection (1).
