13 54 030 Removing and installing/sealing throttle body (B36, B38, B46, B48)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .

Removal:

Unlock and pull off connector (1) from charging pressure sensor.

Release connector (2) on the throttle valve and pull off.

Unlock and pull off pressure pipe (3) from throttle body.

Lay pressure pipe (3) to one side.

Release screws (1).

Remove throttle valve (2).

Installation:

Replace sealing rings between throttle valve, intake plenum and air duct.

Install throttle valve (2) and tighten screws (1).

Tightening torque 13 54 1AZ .

Attach connector (1) to charging pressure sensor.

Connector (1) must engage audibly.

Attach connector (2) to throttle valve.

Connector (2) must snap audibly into place.

Connect pressure pipe (3) to throttle body.

The pressure pipe (3) must snap audibly into place.
