51 16 227 Removing and installing/replacing trim on center console at side left or right (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove REAR CENTER CONSOLE COVER .
• Unclip the CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .

Removal: 

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove screw (1).

Lever out trim (2) from the clamps (3) and remove.

Unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.

Pull trim (1) off clamps (2) starting at front and remove.

Installation: 

Install trim (1) and engage in clamps (2) beginning from the rear.

Connect associated connector.

Install trim (2) and engage in clamps (3).

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Tighten down screws (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Mounting the REAR CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .
• Clip in the CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .
