Removing and installing/replacing the front left or right rubber window seal (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front door WINDOW GLASS .
• Remove the window CHANNEL STRIP  on the front door on the inside

Removal: 

Slightly fold back the rubber window seal (1).

Remove screw (2).

Feed out corner trim (1) upwards out of guide (2) and remove.

Pull out the rubber window seal (1) from the window guide rail (2).

Installation: 

The rubber window seal (1) must not be damaged at corners (2).

Coat the rubber WINDOW SEAL  (1) with approved lubricant prior to installation.

Insert the rubber window seal (1) into the window guide rail (2).

Feed in corner trim (1) into guide (2).

Tighten screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 33 3AZ .

Mount the rubber window seal (1).

Required reworking: 

• Install front door WINDOW GLASS .
• Install the window CHANNEL STRIP  on the inside of the front door.
