Mount the exhaust system in a de-energized state, following the tightening sequence from the rear silencer towards the exhaust manifold.

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CONNECTING SUPPORT FROM THE TUNNEL AT FRONT AND REAR .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CROSS-MEMBER ON THE REAR AXLE .

CAUTION:
Heavy component

Heavy components can lead to injury or damage .

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Detach the ribbon clamp (1).
For equipment specification with V- ribbon clip: Release V-ribbon clip
- Loosen V-band clamp (1).
If installed: Disconnecting the plug connection of exhaust flaps
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- If installed
:
Pull exhaust system (1) out of rubber mount (2).
- Loosen nuts (1).
- Lower, guide out, and remove the exhaust system (2) with the assistance of a second person.
