Install side airbag on front seat

Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

WARNING: Airbag unit.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

Carefully feed in the side airbag (1) upwards in the cover pocket (2) and correctly position on the backrest frame.

Tighten nuts (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Side airbag on rear seat backrest
Nut	Tightening torque	6.5Nm

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Attach the seat cover (1) in arrow direction.

Feed in cable (5) and attach in all holders.
Insert connector (4) in the connector housing (1), until the locks (3) audibly engage.
Install the cable tie (2).
Engage connector housing (1) in the holder.
Variant with seat heating:
Connect connectors (6) and lock.
