51 16 172 Removing and installing/replacing center armrest storage compartment (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove BOTH SIDE TRIMS FROM THE CENTER CONSOLE .
• Remove CENTER ARMREST .

Removal: 

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove center armrest storage compartment (2) upwards.

Installation: 

Install center armrest storage compartment (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 8AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install CENTER ARMREST .
• Install BOTH SIDE TRIMS ON THE CENTER CONSOLE .
