POSITION OF SHAPED PARTS FOR CAVITY SEALING REP-ALG-RAF6041-4107200 - V.1 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)
To reduce interior noise and avoid condensation, cavities in certain areas of the body are closed off. To do this, shaped parts are inserted in the cavities. These shaped parts adapt themselves optimally due to heating of the body to approx. 180 °C by expanding to the shape of the cavities.
Because it is not possible to heat the body to this extent for a body repair, a different procedure. Refer to INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING (NOT EXPANDED) REP-REP-RAGRP41-4107102 - V.4 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV) has been specified for this situation.
