71 60 700 Removing and installing/replacing trailer tow hitch control unit (Countryman base FWD, Countryman S FWD, Countryman base ALL4 AWD, Countryman S ALL4 AWD, Countryman JCW ALL4 AWD)
IMPORTANT:
Observe the INFORMATION ON PROTECTION FROM ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE

Preliminary work needed:
- Remove RIGHT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL .
Removal:
Loosen the retaining lugs (1) and remove the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (2) from the holder (3).
Unlock all plug connections and disconnect.
Installation:
Connect all plug connections.
Insert the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (2) into the holder (3) and lock it on the retaining lugs (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Install TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL, RIGHT .
