52 26 414 Replacing backrest cover for rear seat, center (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• REMOVING  rear middle head restraint
• Remove center GUIDE SLEEVES .
• Remove REAR PANEL ON CENTER REAR SEAT BACKREST .
• Remove CENTER ARMREST .

Removal: 

Undo Velcro fastener (1) and feed out loops at the side.

Detach backrest cover in area (2).

Remove backrest cover (1) in direction of the arrow starting from below.

Remove foam part (1) and insert into new cover.

Installation: 

Attach top welt (1) behind the guides (2).

Attach bottom welt (1) in frame (2).

Insert foam part (1).

Position cover (1) starting from the top and shifting in the arrow direction.

Install REAR PANEL ON CENTER REAR SEAT BACKREST .

Press welt of cover (1) into frame in the direction of the arrow.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install CENTER GUIDE SLEEVES .
• Install CENTER HEAD RESTRAINT .
• Install CENTER ARMREST .
