51 16 365 Removing and installing/replacing glove compartment cover (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove RIGHT GLOVE COMPARTMENT WITH HOUSING .

Removal: 

Release damper (1) from retainer (2) and twist approx. 40° in arrow direction.

Detach and pull out the hinge bolts (1) toward the inside from the stop.

Repeat process on second hinge bolt (1).

Feed out glove box lid.

Installation: 

Feed in glove box lid.

Insert hinge bolt (1) and clip in to stop.

Repeat procedure for second hinge bolt (1).

Lock damper (1) on retainer (2).
