51 16 160 Removing and installing/replacing center console cover (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove GEARSHIFT LEVER KNOB .

Removal: 

Feed trim (1) upwards out of clamps (2) and set up forwards.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove switch for electromechanical parking brake (2) and lay down.

Disconnect plug connection on controller and remove center console trim.

Installation: 

Replacement: 

• Remount CONTROLLER .
• Remount CUP HOLDER .

Connect connector on controller.

Install switch for electromechanical parking brake (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 61 31 8AZ .

Engage trim (1) in clamps (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Installing GEARSHIFT LEVER KNOB .
