12 61 280 Removing and installing/replacing the oil pressure switch (B36, B38, B46, B48)
Attention!
Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove FAN COWL .
Removal:
The oil pressure switch is located beneath the high pressure pump.
Attention!
A small amount of engine oil emerges when oil pressure switch is removed.
Have a cleaning cloth ready.
Catch and dispose of engine oil.
Unlock connector (1) and pull off.
Release and remove oil pressure switch (2).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Part: Sealing ring
Install and tighten oil pressure switch (2).
Tightening torque 12 61 2AZ .
Attach connector (1).
Connector (1) must engage audibly.
Required follow-up work:
- Check ENGINE OIL level, top up if necessary.
