Replacing wiring harness section for injectors and ignition coils (B38) (Cooper Convertible)
Preliminary work needed:
- Disconnect BATTERY GROUND LEAD.
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Remove left WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER and/or right WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
Removal:
Partially detach seal (1).
Open locks by counterclockwise turn.
Release screws (2) and remove battery cover (3).
Unclip and remove cover (1).
Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1) on control unit.
Remove sound insulation from high pressure pump.

| Release connector from ignition coils and unplug | |
| Release and detach connector from injectors |
Release wiring harness from clips and guard controls.
Feed out wiring harness and remove.
Installation:
Route and install wiring harness.
All connectors must audibly engage.
Connect all connectors (1) to control unit.
All connectors (1) must engage audibly.
Installation note:
Connect connectors from front to rear.
Install cover (1).
Join battery cover (3) and tighten screws (2).
Tightening torque 61 21 6AZ .
Turn locks up to stop against arrow direction.
Join gasket (1) and press down firmly.
Install sound insulation for high pressure pump.
Required follow-up work:
- Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD.
- Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Install left WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER and/or right WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
