Stripping Operation - Replace Tail Panel Outer Section And Inner Section (Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works)
NOTE:
Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list essentially represents the disassembly sequence.

- Remove left and right wheel arch trim (FRU number: 51 13 105)
- Remove bumper cover (FRU number: 51 12 156)
- Remove bumper bracket (FRU number: 51 12 050)
- Remove guide for rear left and right bumper (job number: 51 12 828)
- Completely remove exhaust system (job number: 18 00 020)
- Remove heat shield for rear silencer
- Remove trunk lid (FR number: 41 62 000)
- Remove luggage compartment floor covering (FR number: 51 47 101)
- Remove left trunk wheel arch panel (FR number: 51 47 151)
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (FR number: 51 47 161)
- Remove tail panel trim at top (FR number: 51 46 050)
- Remove the trim panel for the left storage shelf (FRU number: 51 46 03)
- Release seal for rear lid
Release screws (1) and remove shaft (2).
Release detents and remove rear ventilation (1).
Release nuts and remove heat shield (2).
Release nuts and remove underbody planking (3).
Installation note:
The rear ventilation must not be damaged! (watertightness).
All detents must engage audibly.
