Removing and installing/replacing the window channel strip on the inside of the front door (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front door TRIM PANEL .
• The INSTRUCTIONS  on installation of window guides serve as the basis for this repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

Removal: 

Release window channel strip (1) from holders (2) and detach upwards.

Installation: 

Shaped part (1) and retaining elements (2) of window channel strip (3) must not be damaged.

Shaped part (1) must be correctly threaded into the door.

Coat window CHANNEL STRIP  (3) prior to lining with approved lubricant.

If necessary, remove clamps from window channel strip and attach to door.

Replace faulty clamps.

Engage window channel strip (1) in holders (2) and connect to door.

Ensure that window channel strip (1) has the right installation position on door (2) and side window (3).

Required reworking: 

• Install front door TRIM PANEL .
