Removing and installing/replacing the trunk lid handle (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove tailgate TRIM PANEL .

Removal: 

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Release screws (2) on the trunk lid handle (3)

Detach the trunk lid handle (3) from the Trunk lid.

Installation: 

Install trunk lid handle (3) on the Trunk lid.

Tighten screws (2) on the trunk lid handle (3).

Tightening torque 51 13 3AZ .

Connect and lock the plug connections (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install the tailgate TRIM PANEL .
