REP-TAT-P-1151-02-6 Installing coolant pump

Inspection: 

• Check whether the sealing bead (1) is glued to the housing of the coolant pump.
• Check sealing bead (1) for damage.
• Measure the height of the sealing bead (1) in relation to the surface.

Result 

« Sealing bead (1) is damaged or the measured dimension deviates.

Measure

• Remove the sealing bead (1).

• Reapply the sealing bead (1).
• Have the special tool 2 469 803  ready.

• Position the sealing compound (1) as shown on the special tool 2 469 803  .

• Tighten screws (2) and (3) of the coolant pump (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Coolant pump to component carrier
  M6 screw	9 Nm

Follow-up work: 

• Connect right charge air duct to the charge air cooler:

  Insert the charge air duct on the charge air cooler, till the lock (1) engages on both sides.

• Install the DRIVE BELT FOR ALTERNATOR .
• Install RIGHT CHARGE AIR LINE .
• Install front underbody protection with the THRUST FIELD .
• Fill and vent the COOLANT CIRCUIT .
