Filling without
the vacuum filling equipment (watering can filling) is not permitted

Failure to observe this rule runs the risk of component damage/engine damage.
Filling specification absolutely must be adhered to.
It is not permissible to operate the vehicle if the filling procedure has not been fully completed. Otherwise functional limitations (degradation) and/or overheating may result.
A bleeding procedure is required after a part has been exchanged in the cooling system and/or after refilling the cooling system.

When replacing and removing components which rely on the corrosion protection effect of the coolant, it is essential to change the coolant. The cooling system must therefore be emptied and refilled.
In the case of other removal work involving the draining of part quantities of coolant, the coolant level must be topped up with new coolant.

NOTE:
Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
Preliminary work:
- Remove the front underbody protection with the THRUST FIELD .
- Partially remove RIGHT CHARGE AIR LINE .
- Remove the DRIVE BELT FOR ALTERNATOR .
- Disconnect the right charge air duct to the charge air cooler:IMPORTANT: RISK OF DAMAGE FROM CONTAMINANT OR FOREIGN DEBRIS
Contamination can result in malfunctions, loss of function or leaks.
- Adhere to the utmost cleanliness.
- Protect components from contamination e.g. by covering.
- Close off line connections with seal plugs.
Unlock the lock (1) on both sides with a suitable tool.
Detach charge air duct from charge air cooler.
