Stripping Operations - Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor And Side Member On Right (Rear Quarter Panel And Tail Panel Removed) (Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list essentially represents the disassembly sequence.

Remove rear axle support (job number: 33 31 000)
Remove rear right spring strut shock absorber (FRU number: 33 52 010)

Release nuts and remove heat shield (1).

Release grommets (2).

Detach wiring harness at attachment points (3).

Installation note:

Ensure correct installation of the grommets (watertightness).

Release screw (1) and remove exhaust bracket.

Tightening torque 18 20 2AZ .

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release holder (2) and lay towards front.

Release wiring harness at attachment point (3).

Release grommets (4).

Release nut (1) for ground connection.

Tightening torque 41 34 1AZ .

Remove screw (2).

Release the plug connections for the antenna amplifier (3). Release and remove the antenna amplifier.

Release grommet (4) and feed through inwards with wiring harness.

Release the grommet (5) and feed through toward outer.

Release the wiring harness at the attachment points (6) and place it forward.

Installation note:

Ensure correct installation of the grommets (watertightness).

Release the screws for the seat unlocking (1). Place the seat unlocking forward.

Release the clips (2) and position the insulating mat (3) towards the front.
