- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

Removing the front seat from the universal seat mount
- Remove front seat

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Cover the door sill using protective covers.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- With the assistance of another, lift the front seat into the vehicle and position.
- Place front seat to the rear and connect the connector (1).
- Adjust the front seat to the rear.
- Replace screws (1).

- Tighten down screws (1).

- Adjust front seat forward.
- Replace screws (1).
