61 31 077 Removing and installing/replacing the switch for the convertible top/storage shelf

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove the mounting for the left storage shelf

Removal:

Remove screw (1).

Remove the switch for the convertible top/storage shelf (2) from the mounting for the storage shelf (3).

Installation: 

Courtesy of BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, INC.

Join the switch for the convertible top/storage shelf (2) with the mounting for the storage shelf (3).

Tighten screw (1).

Required reworking: 

• Install the mounting for the left storage shelf
