51 43 201 Removing and installing or replacing trim panel for roof pillar at front (A-pillar), left or right

WARNING: Read and comply with SAFETY REGULATIONS for working on vehicles with airbag systems.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any sharp-edged tools to remove the trim panel (risk of damage to head airbag).

Lever out protective cap (1).

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 43 1AZ .

Detach edge protection (4) in area of trim panel (3).

Undo clips (2) and remove trim panel (3) upwards.

Installation note:

Clips (1) and guide (2) must not be damaged.

Make sure edge protection (4) is correctly seated.
