34 52 516 Removing and installing/replacing DSC control unit
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove hydraulic unit. See REMOVING HYDRAULIC UNIT FOR DSC (UNTIL PRODUCTION DATE 07/2010) or REMOVING HYDRAULIC UNIT FOR DSC (FROM PRODUCTION DATE 08/2010) .
Release screws (1) and carefully remove control unit (2).
Tightening torque 34 51 1AZ .
Observe all "installation notes " in this procedure.
IMPORTANT:
The control unit must not be positioned with force!
The two pins (2) must not be bent under any circumstances!

Installation note:
Carefully insert control unit (1) in direction of arrow, paying attention to the two pins (2).
Installation note:
Tightening sequence (1-4) must be observed.
Tightening torque 34 51 1AZ .
Replacement:
- Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING
- Adjustment of steering angle sensor
