61 71 061 Replace the washer fluid reservoir for the window washer system

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially release FRONT RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER

Removal:

Remove latch mechanism (1) from the upper section of the filling channel.

Pull upper section of the filling channel (1) towards front.

Remove upper section of the filling channel (1) from filling channel (2).

Remove upper section of the filling channel (1).

Unlock and disconnect the connector on the washer fluid level switch (1).

Unlock and disconnect fog light plug (2) as required.

Unclip the connector (3) from the washer fluid reservoir for the window washer system.

Release retaining clip (4) from washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.

NOTE: If necessary, catch escaping washer fluid.

Release windscreen washer pump (1) from washer fluid reservoir for window washer system (2).

If necessary, remove gasket (3) from washer fluid reservoir for window washer system (2).

Release screws (1).

Feed out washer fluid reservoir for window washer system (2) upwards from mounting (3) and remove.

Installation:

Feed in washer fluid reservoir for window washer system (2) into mounting (3).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 61 61 4AZ .

NOTE: Guide must fit correctly in mounting (3).

Join gasket (2) to washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.

Join windscreen washer pump (1) to washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.

Clip in the connector (3) at the washer fluid reservoir for the window washer system as required.

Connect all connectors to fog light (2).

Connect the connector to the washer fluid level switch (1).

Clip in the retaining clip (4) at the washer fluid reservoir for the window washer system.

NOTE: Ensure all hose pipes and cables are laid without kinks.

NOTE: Guide and latch mechanism on upper section of the filling channel (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Join upper section of the filling channel (1) in filling channel (2).

Join upper section of the filling channel (1) in lock support (1).

NOTE: Ensure the upper section of the filling channel (1) engages correctly.
Fill washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.
