84 31 020 Removing and installing/replacing hands-free system speaker

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM FOR INSTRUMENT PANEL AT BOTTOM RIGHT

Removal:

Unlock latch mechanisms and remove speaker (1) from instrument panel trim (2).

Installation:

NOTE: Latch mechanisms must not be damaged
Speaker (1) must snap audibly into place in bracket.
Guide lugs of bracket must be seated in grooves of speaker (1).

Join speaker (1) into instrument panel trim (2).

Required follow-up work:

Install BOTTOM RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM
