Remove and install or replace outer cover on left or right front seat (from 07/2014) (Except John Cooper Works)

Special tools required: 

• 2 298 505

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove LEVER  for seat height adjustment on front seat.

Removal: 

Carefully lever out steering lever (1) from front seat by means of special tool 2 298 505.

Feed out steering lever (1) in area (A).

Unscrew the screws (1).

Release screw (2) from bottom.

Feed out cover (3) from guides (4) in forward direction.

Detach luggage strap (1) from cover (2).

Installation: 

Attach luggage strap (1) to the cover (2).

Slide in cover (3) from front into the guides (4).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tighten screw (2) from bottom.

Attach steering lever (1) in area (A).

Connect steering lever (1) to the shaft of the backrest.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install LEVER  for seat height adjustment on front seat.
