Replace all connecting rod bearings (B36 engine) (Cooper base)
IMPORTANT:
There is no classification at the crank pins of the crankshaft in the modified procedure.
The top bearing shell (rod side) is supplied with lubricant varnish.
Extreme cleanliness has to be ensured in the bearing area and rod bearing screw connection area.
Connecting rod bolts must always be replaced.

Preliminary work needed:
- Remove all PISTONS .
IMPORTANT:
New connecting rods must be vacuum cleaned prior to installation.
Do not use compressed air to fuse off cracked areas.

Use a commercially available vacuum cleaner (2) to vacuum clean crack surfaces (1).
Install new connecting rod bearing shells.
Insert connecting rod bearing shells (1 and 2).
Required follow-up work:
- Install all PISTONS .
- Assemble engine.
