Replacing the holder for the wishbone on the left or right (Cooper Convertible)

Special tools required: 

• 11 0 420
• 31 2100
• 23 0 272
• 31 2103
• 31 2102

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove WISHBONE .

Removal: 

Insert special tool 11 0 420 into bore in wishbone pin.

Preparing special tool 31 2 100: 

• Replace original spindle by spindle 23 0 272.
• Mount special tool 31 2 103 on special tool 31 2 102.

Position special tool 31 2 100 and detach holder with rubber mount (1) with spindle 23 0 272.

Installation: 

Coat the inside of the rubber mount using 4 UH 1460 lubricating oil (part number: 0 306 232).

Align holder with rubber mount (1) to wishbone (see graphic).

Slide holder with rubber mount (1) onto wishbone pin (2) up to stop.

• Install WISHBONE .
