REP-TAT-P-5434-02 Install convertible top

Prerequisite

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Heavy component.
Heavy components can lead to injury or damage.

Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Insert the convertible top into the vehicle.
The main bearings must be fed into the threaded bolts (arrows). Make sure that the convertible top drives are not damaged.
Thread in drive cable.
Insert the convertible top completely into the vehicle.
Detach the hooks (1) from the main bearings on the left and right.
Remove lifting gear.

Remove luggage straps.

Replace the screw (2) and the nuts (1).
Parts: Bolt, nuts

Tighten the screw (2) and the nuts (1) on the left and right.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Convertible top to body

Replace screws and nuts.

Joining torque

20.5 Nm

Angle of rotation 90°

Connect connectors (1) and lock.

Clip in the connector (2).
Connect connectors (1) and lock.

Check the hall effect sensor (1) for correct fit.
The Hall effect sensor (1) must be located behind the holder (2).

Replace screw (1), left and right.
Parts: Screw

Tighten the screw (1) the left and right.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Convertible top brace to convertible top brace support

Replace screw.

Joining torque

9.5 Nm

Angle of rotation 90°

Insert the protective cap (1) on the left and right.

Remove the adhesive tape (2) from the wiring harness (1) and the convertible top brace (3).

Clip the connector (2) into the convertible top brace mount (3).
Connect connectors (1) and lock.

Place the convertible top fabric on the bolts on the left and right.
Insert the left and right retaining clips (1).

Remove adhesive tape (1).
