51 16 392 Removing and installing/replacing storage compartment in instrument panel trim (driver's side)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

If necessary, remove switch for headlight vertical aim control. Refer to 61 31 072 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEADLIGHT VERTICAL AIM CONTROL SWITCH .

R50/R53 Up To 07/2004 Only:

Release screws (1).

Snap clips (2 and 3) out.

Remove storage compartment from instrument panel trim.

Pull out storage compartment (1) in direction of arrow from retaining points (2).

Fold storage compartment (1) down and unclip guides (2) starting on right.

Installation:

Clips (3) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (3).
