41 14 021 Filling Bulkhead Cross-Member With Foam

For acoustic insulation reasons insulating foam is applied to the finish-painted bodyshell in the bulkhead cross-member area.

A 2-component PU cavity foam is used.

Observe SAFETY AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS .

Auxiliary equipment:

To perform the operation, it will be necessary to lengthen the spray pipe as pictured.

Spray pipe
Extension hose, approx. 150 mm long

Mark extension hose according to specified measurements.

Measurement a = approx. 15 mm

Measurement b = approx. 120 mm

Filling cross-member with foam:

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Insert extension hose through opening (1) up to marking length b.

Spray cavity foam for approx. 10-15 seconds uniformly into cross-member. In so doing, slowly pull out spray pipe up to marking length a.

IMPORTANT: Empty the can within 8 minutes.
Follow manufacturer's safety instructions.
