51 42 060 Removing and installing/replacing armrest in rear door, left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
So that the contact face is not damaged, only drill as far as contact face.

Drill out marked spot-welds with 8 mm dia. spot-weld drill bit.

Remove armrest from outside.

Remove welding residues on door trim panel with a scalpel.

Saw off all welding pins (1) to a max. protrusion of 1 mm.

Insert armrest in door trim panel and fix with screws.

Installation note: 

Welding pins Must not protrude above door trim panel.
