51 47 314 Removing and installing/replacing carpet for passenger compartment
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove HEATER/AIR CONDITIONER
- Remove BOTH FRONT SEATS
- Remove ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE
- Remove PARKING BRAKE LEVER
- Remove both DOOR SILL COVER STRIP at the rear
- Remove BOTH REAR SEATS
Depending on version:
- Remove central bass speaker cover
Unclip protective cap (1) on the left and right.
Lever out carpet (2) using a hook.
Release clip (1).
Undo nut (2) and remove ground cable.
Remove carpet (3) towards the top over the gearshift lever (4) and cable.
Installation note:
Ensure correct position of the cable.
Installation note:
Apertures serve to position the carpet when inserting it.
