61 35 070 Removing and installing/replacing module for folding exterior mirror

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove lid (1) from luggage compartment side trim panel (3).

Release expanding rivet (2).

Carefully fold away luggage compartment side trim panel (3) in direction of arrow.

Reach behind the luggage compartment side trim panel.

Release both nuts (2) and feed out the module for the folding exterior mirror (1).

Unfasten plug connection (3) and disconnect.
