41 14 502 Rear Left Outer Wheel Arch Section Replacement (Rear Left Side Panel Removed)

Observe relevant procedures in BODY, GENERAL .

Following new body parts are required:

Wheel arch, outer, rear
Reinforcement, side panel

Mark severance cut on side panel reinforcement in accordance with measurement a and cut.

IMPORTANT: Cut outer metal sheet only.

A = approx. 290 mm

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Installation:

Insert reinforcement plate at severance cut.

Apply window glass adhesive to cavity acoustic baffle (2).

Open weld joints in area (1).

Cut wheel arch at distance of 20 mm to radius along line (1).

Preparation of new part:

Mark new part in accordance with severance cut on vehicle + 20 mm extra material and cut.

Installation:

Weld new component in area (1).
