52 26 405 Replacing left or right rear seat cover

Special tools required: 

• 52 0 050

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove REAR SEAT 

Lever out the inner cover (2) from the backrest frame (1) with a screwdriver.

Push the cover to the side to expose the basic carrier.

Lever out the outer cover (2) from the backrest frame (1) with a screwdriver.

Push the cover to the side to expose the basic carrier.

Detach the cover (1) above the seat belt buckle (2) and seat mechanism (3).

Installation note: 

Route the cover (1) correctly over the seat belt buckle and seat mechanism.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 52 26 11AZ .

Detach the welt of the cover tab (1) from the seat frame (2).

Remove padding with seat cover and seat frame from seat mechanism.

Detach the tensioning strap (1) from the seat frame.

Detach seat cover (3) from seat frame (2).

Detaching cover and upholstery: 

• Disconnect all clamps in marked area
• Remove seat cover from upholstery
• Remove all remnants of retainers from cover and padding

Installation note: 

Insert new clamp (2) with special tool 52 0 050 and bend closed.
