51 47 151 Removing and installing/replacing left luggage compartment wheel arch trim

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER FROM TAIL PANEL 
• Remove FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL 

Remove the storage box (1) towards the top.

Release expanding rivets (1).

Pull luggage compartment trim panel (3) in rear area slightly toward the inside and disconnect plug connections for luggage compartment light/12-V power socket (5).

Feed out luggage compartment trim panel (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

First feed in luggage compartment trim panel (3) behind trim panel (2).

Replace faulty expanding rivets (1).

Make sure luggage compartment trim panel (3) is correctly seated against edge protection (4).

Please observe notes on EDGE PROTECTION ASSEMBLY .

Replacement (depending on version): 

• Modify LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT
• Convert 12-V POWER SOCKET .
