51 49 005 Removing and installing/replacing trim for lower tailgate

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove BOTH COVERS FOR REAR WINDOW FRAMES 

Release screws (1) in handle recess.

Tightening torque 51 49 2AZ .

Release trim panel (3) from clips (2) and remove.

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clips (1) on trim panel (2).
