51 34 211 Replacing rubber window seal for rear left or right side window
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary work:
- Completely open door window if necessary
- Remove COVER ON WINDOW FRAME
- Partially remove SOUND INSULATION (area of door lock)
Open expanding rivet (2) and lever out of cover (1) using special tool 00 9 325 .
Feed out cover (1) and place to one side.
Remove adhesive tape.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 51 35 2AZ .
Installation note:
Cover at rubber window seal must be flush against the window frame.
Seal must not be damaged or missing.
Raise the side window half way.
Feed rubber window seal (2) out of guide rail (1), and then open the door window completely again.
Installation note:
To facilitate installation, moisten rubber window seal (2) slightly with water.
Half close door window, feed in rubber window seal (2) from above and pull down.
Completely open door window again.
Feed out rubber window seal (1) beginning at the front.
Installation note:
Seal (2) must not be missing or damaged.
