51 41 001 Replacing left or right front door trim panel

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove front door trim panel. See REMOVING DOOR TRIM PANEL (UP TO 11/2012)  or REMOVING DOOR TRIM PANEL (FROM 11/2012) .

The following components need to be remounted: 

• Foam part (1)
• SPEAKER (2)
• INTERIOR DOOR OPENER  (3)

Depending on version: 

• INTERIOR AERIAL (4)
• LED FOR FRONT INSIDE DOOR OPENER (5)
• LED FOR FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL LIGHT (5)
• FOOTWELL LIGHT/LIGHT COVER APERTURE (7)
• SWITCH FOR EXTERIOR MIRROR (6)
