41 14 502 Replacing rear left outer section of wheel arch (side wall removed)

Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS for repairs.

The following new body parts are required:

Removal of the outer wheel arch section

Remove cavity sealing (1).

Open welded connections in area (2).

Installation note:

Coat new CAVITY SEALING (1) with sealant.

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with dimension and cut.

IMPORTANT: Cut outer panel only.

A = approx. 20 mm

Open welded connections in areas (2) and (3).

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with dimension and cut.

A = approx. 20 mm

Open welded connections in area (2).

Remove outer wheel arch section.

New part preparation

Mark severance cut (1) in radius and cut.

NOTE: Install new part with overlap in connection area.

Installation outer wheel arch section

Adjust new part to fit in area (1) between flange (2) and side wall extension (3).

Adjust new parts in combination with side wall to fit and weld.

Coat new cavity sealings (1) with sealant.
