41 11 302 Replace the entrance with right door post (partial replacement, B-pillar, rear side panel removed)
Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .
Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.
Use only an approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS for repairs!
Place vehicle on straightening bench.
The following new body parts are required:
- (1) Side frame, outer
- (2) Shaped part, B-pillar, right inner (not shown)
- (3) Shaped part, B-pillar, rear inner (not shown)
Removing entrance cover with door post
Mark separation points in accordance with specified dimensions and disconnect.
Dimension a = approx. 200 mm after rear edge, B-pillar.
Dimension b = approx. 140 mm from roof edge.
Dimension c = approx. 100 mm below severance cut b.
Dimension d = approx. 120 mm after 12 x 18 mm elongated hole.
Open welded connections in areas (1).
Installation note:
Cut out metal section (2) is needed again.
Mark separation point in accordance with specified dimension and disconnect.
Dimensions a = approx. 190 mm from roof edge.

Remove the entrance cover.
New part preparation
Mark new part in accordance with severance cuts on vehicle and cut.
Adjust new part to fit with set of attachments or universal mount.
Prepare REINFORCEMENT PLATES at severance cuts.
Installing entrance cover with door post
Bond the new CAVITY SEALING with sealant in the areas (1).
Install new parts and reinforcement plates with alignment bracket or universal mount and weld.
