51 47 151 Removing and installing/replacing left luggage compartment wheel arch trim

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove COVER FROM TAIL PANEL
Remove rear window STORAGE SHELF at front
Remove UPPER PARTITION TRIM PANEL

Remove the storage box (1) towards the top.

Undo expanding rivets (1) at the luggage compartment partition wall trim panel.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty expanding rivets (1).

Release trim ring (1) from clamps (2) in the areas marked and remove.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clamps (2).

Release screws (1).

Lift out expanding rivets (2).

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty expanding rivets (2).

Lift out edge protection (3).

Please observe notes on EDGE PROTECTION ASSEMBLY .

Pull the luggage compartment trim panel (1) slightly backwards at the rear.

Unlock and disconnect the plug connection for the luggage compartment light (2) and 12 volt charging socket (3).

Unhinge and remove the luggage compartment trim panel (1) in the direction of the arrow.

Installation note:

Insert the luggage compartment trim panel (1) behind the storage shelf fixture first (4) and insert the luggage compartment partition wall trim panel (5).

Replacement (depending on version):

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT .

Remove 12 volt charging socket.
