54 34 445 Removing and installing/replacing cover of front bow

Necessary preliminary tasks:

WARNING: For all repair work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.

Turn the rotating handle (1) to the 90° position.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 54 34 1AZ .

Drive the screw (2) through the rotating handle (1) in the direction of the arrow.

Unclip trim (1).

Release screws.

Tightening torque 54 34 2AZ .

Unclip the front box cover out of the marked area toward the front.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clamps (2).

Make sure clamps (2) in front bow cover are correctly seated.
